Mobile With A Home (MWAH) is a recording studio with a difference. You can join house Engineer and Producer Mattie Foulds in our acoustically designed “Home” in Heriot Toun (20 mins south of Edinburgh) or we can set you up “Mobile” in “that space” you always wanted to record in. All at an affordable and realistic price.
MWAH has special expertise in recording and production for traditional musicians, singer-songwriters, and acoustic instrumental artists from folk to jazz to classical. Our clients have included Lau, Karine Polwart, John McCusker, Bella Hardy and The Outside Track.
Heriot Toun, an extremely comfortable and inspiring place to create. Is nestled in the rural Scottish Borders amongst farm fields and beautiful landscapes. The building itself has won many architectural awards. And was built to inspire creativity.
It’s a recording studio that doesn’t feel like a recording studio. It’s more like you just found your new favourite place to chill, and there just happens to be loads of great recording equipment there…
We have a fully functioning kitchen with gas cooker and hob. The entire building is has under floor, silent heating. There’s a comfortable “sitting room” style space with wood burning stove, as well as a bonnie loo with a shower.
